Kia Forte Performance

The Kia Forte comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder 147-horsepower engine. A six-speed manual transmission comes with the base trim. In higher trims, an automatic transmission comes standard and is optional on the base trim.

The Forte GT trim comes with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder 201-horsepower engine. It comes standard with a seven-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual is optional.

The base trim offers good fuel economy with either of the transmission. The Forte with the six-speed manual transmission achieves an EPA-estimated 27 MPG city driving and 37 MPG highway driving. With the automatic transmission, it achieves an EPA-estimated 31 MPG city driving and 41 MPG highway driving.
